A Little Ray of Sunshine
May 14, 2008
“A little ray of sunshine
Has come into the world
A little ray of sunshine
In the shape of a girl”
by Glen Shorrack (The Little River Band).
In the mornings the sun streams through the large window at the front of our house. Sally’s window art comes alive and casts colourful dots into the room. If you look closely, each little speck of colour is an individually crafted work of art portraying her shiney young and joyful view of the world.
Sally’s joy and love is captured in her artwork. It spills off the windows…
… and onto vases:
This vase has happy little fish added to it.
This one has smiley faces, hearts and flowers.
On this one, Sally has added a little bee in a garden of flowers.
She’s my Little Ray of Sunshine.
Google eyes and pieces of fluff

Hello Possums. I would like to share a little craft solution with you. THE PROBLEM: Checker Board, no checkers! You know how it is. The checkers disappear over the years. Who know where? (Into a black hole with all of the odd socks most likely). THE SOLUTION: Some gum nuts from the garden:
(Twenty-four to be precise). A visit to the local craft shop for fluff in two colours, a packet of 4mm googly eyes and a hot glue gun. THE RESULT: Gum nut checkers!
And some holiday fun for a cooler windy day.
When TV is banned
May 24, 2007
Here is a picture of two little possums who have been banned from watching TV one rainy Saturday.

If you look closely, you will notice that they have found some empty boxes, pipe cleaners, pompoms and textas and have constructed – yes, you guessed it – a TV!
